About Stacy

I’m Stacy Hoffer, and my own journey into the world of mediumship began with the devastating loss of my Nana in 1991. I was 25 years old. We were very close and she was the person who loved me unconditionally from the moment I was born.  Her love sustained me throughout my childhood as I coped with a chronically mentally ill mother and an absent father.  I was in the deepest throes of grief when I came across a television show which featured a medium named Rosemary Altea. As I studied the reactions of the participants, I was convinced that there was no acting involved in their reactions to their messages.

I instantly knew I had to find a medium. I was blessed that Dr. Lauren Thibodeau and her husband Ed had just moved to Princeton.  When I met her, her sweetness and upbeat energy made it easy for me to decide to schedule a reading.  It was my first reading ever with a Medium.  The identifying information she brought through left no doubt in my mind that my Nana was present.  In our conversation, unresolved family issues were clarified. The reading left me full of wonder, healed my heart, validated my ongoing connection with my Nana, and inspired me on the path of after death communication for myself.  I have been on this journey since 1999.

I began training to be a therapist as an undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University in 1987.  A professional clinical social worker trained a small group of students to be Peer Counselors.  A Place to Talk opened around that time and I got my first tast of working as a therapist.  I completed my BA and MA in Psychoogy in four years.  I worked in research for one year, and then began studying at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1989.  My dream was to integrate Psychology and Spirituality.  While working towards my Master of Divinity at PTS, I decided to apply to the joint degree program with Rutgers University School of Social Work.  I graduated with an M.Div in 1992, and an MSW in 1993.  I earned my clinical license in 1995.  I worked at various hospitals, and as I got promoted I found myself doing less and less clinical work.  One day I was flattened by the worst migraine of my life.  It was a clear sign to that something had to change! With the unwavering support of my husband, I launched my private practice.

In my career as a psychotherapist I continued to hunger for knowledge and understanding of how mental health could be enhanced with spirituality and energy medicine.  I studied Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, and Holographic Repatterning (now known as Resonance Repatterning). I discovered that my intuition kept developing and that it made me a better and better psychotherapist.   I obtained my ordination from Universal Life Church and began writing and conducting  unique wedding services for couples, something I still love to do.

In 1999, thanks to my friendship with Dr. Lauren, I also began attending the summer seasons at Lily Dale Assembly, in Lily Dale, New York.  I attended classes and workshops (as I still do) never imagining that one day I would be called to become a Medium full time.  In the summer of 2021, the first summer season after the pandemic, I attended one of the free message services that are offered daily at “The Dale” as we like to call it.  Normally there would be 6-8 Mediums sitting at the front of the auditorium, waiting to be called upon to serve.  On this day, there was only one!  As I sat in the audience, 3 Spirit People came to me: 2 adults and 1 child.  I knew I had to get up and deliver these messages. As I delivered the identifying information and the messages, people’s faces reflected that full range of emotions as I myself had experienced in that first reading with Dr. Lauren.  Spirit guided me to serve in public, and from there I received clear guidance to retire from psychotherapy and work as a Medium, Minister, Teacher, and Spritual Coach full time.  It’s my great honor and great pleasure to serve Spirit and be the conduit of messages of light, love, hope and healing to others.
